Why is Pathwright unique?

Pathwright is one of the few online course platforms that offers custom branding for starter plan subscribers. Also, making it easy to organize “a chaos of content” into easy paths anyone can follow makes this platform stand out.

Pathwright pricing

Pathwright starts at just $99 monthly, and it comes with a ton of features, including unlimited paths (courses), public and member-only paths, and custom branding. I can also offer tailored paths to a group of learners (cohorts).

If I need more features, Pathwright also offers two other plans: Essentials ($199) and Complete ($499).

The Essentials plan includes additional features like a custom domain name, Zapier integrations, and selling subscriptions (membership). The Complete plan includes all of the features of the Essentials plan, plus member-created cohorts and completion certificate.

All the plans offer 10% on the annual plan. I also have options to sign up for a free account or upgrade to the custom plan if I need even more features.

Feature 1: User experience of course builder

I love that I can enter my preferred URL while signing up, unlike others that generate unwieldy URLs.

The onboarding process was straightforward. I was up and running in no time. I decided to try the free plan to test the platform.

The dashboard looks clean and everything is within reach. The platform prompted me to create a new cohort first when I tried to teach a course, which only took a minute. However, I struggled to figure out how to add paths to the cohort.

I believe Pathwright could make the platform more beginner-friendly.

But everything seemed easy when I got a hang of it. I noticed that each path can contain multiple lessons and each lesson, several steps learners can take to improve their proficiency.

And creating them was a piece of cake. I upload and embed videos, audio, and PDFs as steps. The lessons also support interactive content, quizzes, tests, surveys, and live streams. I also observed that learners can submit projects, journals, and papers.

Feature 2: Learner engagement tools

I think Pathwright offers some of the best learner engagement tools.

For instance, I observed that students can submit projects, journals, and papers. Each path also integrates a separate social network that lets them share problems, insights, and feedback on their learning experiences. Additionally, they can partake in quizzes, surveys, and tests.

They can also create cohorts to personalize their experience and join mentor groups.

Feature 3: Marketing and payment features

Pathwright supports only limited marketing features—discounts, monthly subscriptions, and group licenses. But the good thing is, that it supports Zapier integration. With it, I can connect the app to several third-party marketing apps.

However, I didn’t test how it works since I was only on the free plan.

Also, the platform needs to work on its payment gateways. It seems the platform only natively supports Stripe but needs Zapier integration to work with PayPal.

Feature 4: Scalability

In addition to tiered pricing, Pathwright offers a custom plan, so you can scale as you want.

However, each plan supports unlimited paths and 1,000 members. But I can buy a member block if I want more. Additionally, the platform integrates easily with Zapier, which makes it even more scalable.

I am confident that Pathwright can support any growth.

It currently powers over 1.9 million learners, who have completed more than 72 million steps. This is a massive number of learners and steps, and it demonstrates the platform’s scalability.

Feature 5: Affordability

I believe Pathwright’s pricing is fair.

It offers capabilities and guided learning most of the comparable platforms can’t rival. Also, I save 10% yearly with the annual subscription. I believe Pathwright will become more appealing if it works on its native marketing features.

Feature 6: Unique features

Pathwright makes project-based, self-paced learning a breeze. I was impressed with how easy it is to creatively guide learners to their next learning action. They don’t have to scramble to find out where they left off or figure out the next steps.
